LETTERING CUT FILES

Two initials. One mark.

Monograms drawn as paths, not typed in a font.

A monogram cut file is lettering converted to paths, not text typed in a font. This template draws the initials as outlines, so the mark is identical on any machine, and returns single- and two-layer versions.

  • Letterforms converted to paths
  • Interlocking and stacked variants
  • Optional year or date line

1–2 layers · 8 in circle · path-based lettering

Applicable tax is shown at checkout.

Logos, silhouettes and flat-colour art trace cleanly. Busy photos come back as hundreds of fragments.

Watch first: a reference image becomes a cut-ready SVG in 20 seconds.

WHAT THE FILE IS FOR

From download to blade.

The SVG that leaves this page is sized and layered for real cutting — vinyl, HTV, stickers, layered cardstock.

ONE MONOGRAM

One credit per mark

The pack includes the single-layer version for vinyl and a two-layer version for a contrasting backing circle.

GETTING LETTERS RIGHT

Spelling is final.

Monograms are personal, so the template does not guess. Type initials in the exact order you want them read, and check the preview letter by letter.

Choose

  • Initials in the order they should read
  • One style word — "serif", "script", "geometric"
  • The occasion, if you want a matching flourish

Avoid

  • Long names or full words
  • Asking for a specific commercial typeface
  • Decorative scripts with very thin joins

Script letterforms with hairline joins will be thickened to the cut minimum, which changes the look slightly.

FROM INITIALS TO MARK

What happens after you press generate

  1. 01

    Generate

The monogram is drawn and the lettering converted to outlines.

  2. 02

    Check

Preview every letter at full size before paying — spelling is not editable after download.

  3. 03

    Build

Single-layer and two-layer variants are produced from the same geometry.

  4. 04

    Download

One credit unlocks both variants and all formats.

For wedding signage, order the two-layer version — the backing circle gives contrast on wood.

BEFORE YOU PAY

Questions before your first cut.

Contact support
Can I change the letters after downloading?
No. Lettering is converted to paths, so editing means regenerating. Check the preview carefully before you spend the credit.
Can I use a specific font?
You can describe the style — serif, script, geometric — but not a named commercial typeface. The output is drawn, not typeset.
Is a date line always included?
Only if you ask for it. Say "year 2026 below" or "wedding date in small caps"; otherwise the template leaves the space clean.
